At the Palazzo last week, dealer and pit raised minimum from a $10 bet and declared new $15 minimum would begin after reshuffling this last shoe and switched sign to $15 min. When I complained all other casinos permit players to remain "grandfathered in" at previous min. level so long as they continue to play (restroom breaks permitted.) Palaxzo pit said That's our policy but we more than make up for it by allowing players to spread 2-3 hands without increasing each bets' amounts. Question: Any thoughts analyzing this trade-off? Player who prefers lower min. bet and awaits high count to jump in big v. spreading hands.
Interesting note: Another player had sat down just after the sign was switched and I overheard dealer ask pit whether newbie could still bet $10 for this last shoe. Pit answers "Sure if he notices, but don't tell him."
