I posted this to winneronline, but have gotten a lot of good info from this board so I thought I would give the info here also:
Just downloaded and tried the new Microgaming software at Lucky Nugget. They throw a whole bunch of new capabilities in the software in exchange for one thing: The blackjack is now two decks instead of one deck.
I don't know the percentages for all the nuances of their game, but I know this adds about .3% to the house advantage. This means that a game that was about even after cash back is now about .3% after cash back.
What is so fascinating about this is that they are basically giving up any money they make from VP strategy mistakes because the game will play perfectly for you, and the same for blackjack, you can have it play perfect basic strategy. But apparently they are convinced that the players are so savvy anyway that this doesn't make them any money, and so this whole thing is a ploy to kill their great blackjack game (that a lot of people apparently don't even trust anyway).
I haven't asked anyone about this, but it is my guess that once you download and install this software you are stuck with it and can not return to the single deck blackjack game, so be aware of the choice you're making.
Interesting stuff, anyway...
