When new decks have recently been opened, washed and put into play is the house at a bigger advantage than when the cards have been shuffled multiple times for over an hour?
Recently I have played at tables that have just been opened with new cards. I get into high-count situations and have lost due to the dealer not breaking. Just clumps of small cards coming out that are driving up the count.
Talked to some local players and they suggest I dont play for the first hour after new cards have been put into the shoe. Is there anything to this theory?
