new 12 spot BJ

I was at the Mohegan Sun Friday and noted that they now have replaced some of the 8 deck BJ with a 12 spot BJ gam. The rules are the same Except that each player is able to jump form one hand to two hands at will ( thus 6 playes x2 hands = 12 spots being delt cards)

With a number of counters at the table the count goes up and the 12 spot snow have a bet on them

This seems to eat up cards and would reduece the number of hands being delt out. I would think that this would also reduce any edge you might have at this game ???

any thoughts on this- any angle onthis game that would make it favroable to play ?

You want to play with as less players as possible in order to get as many hands per hour as possible. From this point of view , playing 12 spot table would be a total waste of time. Shark

If spots available, can a player spread to more than two hands in this game? Seems possible a larger bet spread may be attainable given the "encouragement" to jump back and forth between one hand and multiple hands.

Good point -- I know that you can go from one hand to two. I have not seen 2 adjacent spots open at the same time.

I may just give this a try the next time I am there ( in a week or two ) --this would be great in a positive deck -- however if you had to play a minimum of two hands in a negative deck the " Vig " appears to be quite high

I would also think that you would need a LARGE bankroll.

I generally stay with the 6 deck -- some give less than 2 dk cut off and with surrender ( late ) I feel I have a better game than Atlantic City and it is one hour closer
