It's been a while since I've posted and hope everyone's doing well. About three years ago I found an edge outside of card counting, and, after realizing I was making more from it than my retail management job, took the leap into becoming a full time ap while pursuing a degree in computer science. Last year seemed too good to be true, with very little variance and actual value following expected value nearly perfectly. That all changed this month, where I've had some of the craziest swings I've had since counting cards. Even though I can handle it financially, I wasn't ready for how demoralizing it would be. I entered my weekly data into my seasonal spreadsheet and my entire perspective changed. Like, I was questioning whether there was some foul play on the casino's part or if I had been screwing up somehow, but looking at the seasonal spreadsheet is really helping me see the 'big picture'. I see how small of a snapshot a couple weeks really is and recognize even with how nasty these last couple weeks were that the losing can still continue. Losing NEVER gets easier, but after the last week I see additional value in keeping meticulous records for emotional/mental clarity. The first photo is from this month and the second is from mid September until now.
