I realize this now and didn't know it was a big deal. I just thought if they haven't backed me off, they didn't know. I went in today to the hot 24 hour casino and the shift manager watched me closely, the PC was rude to me. But as I made an excuse to leave and cashed out, I passed the shift manager doing paperwork in the doorway of a huge room. We made brief eye contact and he continued paperwork. Not sure if that means anything. But he only showed up to do a fill. I also didn't get asked for my ID - the guy just said 'you're good'.
I am going to let that one cool off for a month or more. I will try to blend in at the second loca, and am planning a 1hr 20m trip to a casino a short distance away.
Sigh... Welp!
What do you suggest? Hit an runs? I'm graduating college and my bankroll is modest.

Don't rush. Build your BR. But understand that, between hit and run and playing eight hours at a time for three days in a row, there is a happy medium, no?

Well, Just spent another night of about 4 hours at the second store. Was really busy, the pit was spread thin, and I got a nice little table in the corner with a wall adjacent to it making back counting easier. Not to mention - they don't allow beers at the table. Perfect excuse to back-count while holding a drink. "Just finishing up this drink"(A ploppy was obviously turning towards me and staring at me for hovering behind the table - he continuously turned to look at me - I minimized him to a spec and magnified the count and just stood my ground. This was pretty uncomfortable cause he looked like a very unhappy ploppy LMAO). I overheard the pit talking about ID refusal and I believe another AP was getting heat. Then again, they have never asked me to sign up for a players card - and I even asked if I qualified for any comps to the pit boss and he said 'if you don't come here often you won't get anything on the first night, yeah... it adds up with points' - Didn't even suggest I sign up. But then I got a really quirky dealer. Asked my name... Where i'm from... dealed slower than i'v ever seen - would talk for 4 minutes with his hand on the shoe. When he was done with his story, he would deal - it was just us - heads up for about 25 minutes. I should of obviously got up and left... but was the dealer inquiring about me to ID me? I did not give a fake name...
Sadly my BR is about breakeven and even though i'm grinding I feel like i'm playing an even or negative EV game. Sometimes the heat is so intense I feel like I have to sacrifice the count to look uninterested. This is when I let an entire hand go when the PC's are playing staring contest.
I am still hopeful and plan to practice between the next session. Perhaps I will practice speed counting and glance timing, as I have found I need to be in control of where my eyes are 100% of the time because PC's are constantly curious what i'm looking at. I wouldn't say I have obvious counting habits, But I do look at the cards. Also, if the next stimulus check passes I will likely include it into the BR.
I'm all for preparation. I hope it pays off.
