This last weekend a group of us decide to drive a pit with a mindplay game nuts. All five of us have player cards with the casino and normal betting ranges from $25 to $300. Late on a Friday night, while the casino was still busy, two of us set down at the mindplay table and present our players card and buyin for $300 to $1000. After the pit manager came over and logged us into the machine and the two of us had played two or three hands, one player would leave the table the remaining player, would say "I'm moving to that seat it's always been lucky for me". This caused the dealer to have to stop and punch into the machine that a player had left and the other player had moved to another seat at the table and was now playing two hands. After one hand, a third player in our group would set down, and present her player card, the pit manager would come over and log her in. To which the original player announced since there is a new player I'm going to play only one hand to keep the flow of the cards correct. The dealer had to stop in log that a player was playing only one hand. The first time the original player lost two hands in a row he left the table. One other player in the group sat down and presented his player card, the pit manager come over and logged him in. One hand was played. Two ploppies set down, who had player cards, the pit manager come over and logged them. The dealer won the next three hands in a row, a player in our group announced that machine is evil and only an idiot would continue to play against it. The ploppies and the woman left. As the dealer tried to punch which players had left, the machine must have locked up, because he had to call over the pit manager for help. After the pit manager fixed the problem, the remaining player moved from third base to first base, the dealer had to note this in the machine. The first player to have left and cashed out returned and set down with his player card and $360 in cash for chips. The pit manager started to ignore him, but he said wasn't going to play until he was logged, because he wanted to be sure he could get a meal comp. A player in the group said we will wait for you, so we can keep the card flow right. Play stopped, until the pit manager come over and logged him in. We expected the dealer to get mad at us, but he seemed to enjoy that the pit manager was being driven nuts and at one point said they really should give up on these silly machines and said "if you're staying here, please tell them what you think about these machines". With the assistance of some unknowing ploppies we kept this up for about an hour and half. After seeing the veins in the pit manager's neck about to pop, we stop and left for another casino. We settled up with each to even out the lost or wins for our little terrorism act, we found we had a net lost of only $150 between the five of us. This cost us $30 each for some great fun.
We realized that by keeping the pit managers so frustrated with the mindplay, a remaining player might be able hammer them at another table in the pit without much notice. We went back for the afternoon shift on saturday with an additional recruit, who was a great card count. It took the new recruit almost an hour before, he got a table with a great count and was able to jump his bet 7 times without much notice from the pit manager. He quickly was up almost $3,000 before the pit manager got a phone call and looked in his direction. He had been backed off before in this casino so he played one more hand and left. But while he gathered up his chips two others in our group wonged in and flat bet $200 for the rest of the shoe to pickup another $900. Our group at the mindplay also netted a $325 gain. Each got $704 for another day of attacking the mindplay table.
I played craps and video machine also. From now on anytime I walk by a mindplay machine, I'm going to get the pit manager to log me in, so I can play until I lose two hands in row.
It not often we get a chance to wage this type attack on the casinos.
