Match Play Coupons Wanted

I'm looking for Vegas match-play coupons, any casino, any denomination. You give me the coupons, I give you the cash, nobody gets hurt.

What are you willing to pay?

You'll need far more match plays than you'll ever be able to use to make this worthwhile for you.

Let's say a $10 bet and $10 coupon (which cost him $2.50) are used on the pass line in craps.

He has a 0.49293 chance of winning $20 = +$9.8586;
He has a 0.50707 chance of losing $12� = -$6.3384;
For an average win of $3.5202 for $12.50 risk; or 28.16%

The edge would be even better at the 21 tables, but complicated by the fact that the 3:2 payoff for snappers does not apply to the coupon; and there may be other limitations re doubling and/or splitting; which is why I used craps as the (simpler) example.

Of course, all this may be moot. It's been a while since I've seen any match play coupons, but the last ones I saw were non-transferrable; and had the "owners" player's card account number on them to prevent such schemes as the one proposed.

that can only be used on even-money type bets (where the win/loss ratio is roughly 50/50) is worth $12.50 minus the built in vig for the game. At craps a pass line bet would be worth $12.50-1.4% or roughly $12.33.

At blackjack, you get to keep the coupon on pushes, you lose 47% of the time and win 43% of the time...this roughly translates to a push adjusted result of losing 52% and winning 48% so your $25 match play is worth roughly $25*.48 or about $12.00

Another method for figuring the value of a match play coupon at blackjack is by adding the even money disadvantage of 2.3% to the house edge so for a typical (S17) double deck game you'd be giving up about 2.5%. So just take 1/2 of your face value ($25/2) and then deduct the house edge.

12.50-(12.50*.025)= $12.19 estimated value

Just trying to get it straight in my own mind: Back to the $10 coupon in craps example:

0.49293 * +$20 = +$9.8586;
0.50707 * -$10 = -$5.0707;
Average net of = +$4.7879.

But using your formula, if I understand it, the value should be $5 minus 1.414% of $10; or $4.8586. Does not seem to match.

But taking the value @$5 and then subtracting the edge on the SUM of the bet + � the coupon value gives the correct value: $5 - $15 * 0.01414 = $5 - $0.2121 = $4.7879.

OK, NOW I got it .

Still, IF you could buy that coupon worth $4.7879 for $2.50 and IF you could actually USE it (which I doubt for reasons stated in my previous post), it would be pretty good business.

Now that we've settled that I'm willing to overpay, sell me your coupons already! As long as they are not expired and do not have your player's club number written on them, I'll take 'em.

By the way, a plug for lasvegasadvisor.com... Yesterday I hit the Fiesta and used the "BJ pays 3:1" coupon while betting green. The coupon is good until it hits, so unless I'm missing something really obvious, it is always worth exactly $37.50 on a $25 bet. And of course I eventually got the snapper and collected my $75 payout.

Thing is, a one year subscription to Las Vegas Advisor costs about $37.50, so once you've used this one guaranteed winner, every other coupon in the book is pure profit. The other coupons are a mix of room, food, entertainment and gambling stuff.

my method is a down and dirty way of getting a close approximation of the eV. Most players do not know the exact win/loss distribution for most games but do know the house edge. The point of my method is that for an even money bet, winning and losing is approximately a 50/50 proposition...if you treat it as that and then deduct the built-in house edge you'll get a good rough estimate of the eV.

If you know the exact number of times that a pass line bet actually wins or loses (like in your example) then you can get a more exact number.

I make an honest recommendation and back it up with a simple and compelling argument, and you accuse me of being a _shill_???
