I have been playing the $25 tables using a 1-10 spread and Hi Lo for about 2 years (usually every 2-3 months). I know that Wonging in/out is the best strategy but sometimes that's impossible if its "no mid shoe" or a crowded night. The seat is usually not there when I'm ready.
Here's my situation and question. I've tried moving to the $10 table and keeping my 1x bet at $10 when the count is 0 or -1. (I usually back away when it gets worse than that.) When the count goes positive, I put in stacks of green chips. So its $25 at +1, $50 or $75 at +2, $75 or $100 at +3, etc. I know this could generate heat but it seems my losses are lower when the count is not in my favor. And my spread from my 1x bet is also alot higher. (The other benefit is that the $10 tables never have a "no mid shoe" policy!)
Is my logic correct? Is this a good strategy?
Thanks.
