Las Vegas style BJ in LA. Now Happening

Hi all long time lurker and long time player in LA. Poker mostly, at the casino that is my namesake. What brings me here is the green chip board and while waiting for my membership to be processed i am posting here.
If you don't know, Hollywood Park Casino is under new ownership and they are rebuilding everything.
What that means is No Collection BlackJack! They are offering "LasVegas style" BlackJack just you against the corporation. 5 or 6 tables with 7 players per table and $10 min. They also run a weekly BJ tourney on Thursdays @ 5PM $45 total buyin and $3000 guarantee.
Is what i would appreciate is FeedBack, if you go please share your experience. If you have any ?'s or problems that's what i am doing here please let me know!

For new casinos, please tell how the rules differ from this base set of rules: dealer takes a hole card but does not check under it if the upcard is 10, dealer stands on soft seventeen, naturals pay 3:2, you may double down on any first two cards, you may split any pair, you may resplit any pair except aces, split aces receive one card each, insurance, and no surrender. Please also tell us the number of tables with each number of decks or different set of rules.

Peeking at Hole Cards
Report dealers peek under hole cards only if they do it by hand under 10s. Peeking under aces does not help the player. Peeking with an in-the-table reader does not help the player.

Maximum bets
Report the largest blackjack bet accepted by the casino, even if it applies to only one table.

Cut Off
�Cut off� is the number of decks left when the dealer decides to shuffle. For shoe games it is how many decks behind the cut card. For single and double deck, it is the fraction of a deck left when the dealer is indifferent between shuffling and dealing another round.

Is what i am trying to do is cleanup the rep of Hollywood park casino for the new owner. He has a complete new staff, and although he will be tearing down the place in about a year he has gone to the expense of some interior redecoration and other improvements.
We are looking for feedback on how we are doing as we are building a new casino with a 300 room attached hotel and really want to get as much feedback as possible.
I am a poker player and have been playing HPC for many years and am working on boosting attendance. (better for me softer games like the old days)
I am blackjack literate but no where near the level of u guys. I know about AP and that's why i posted, as i think this game gives players in LA the best shot at this time.

Without knowing even the most basic things about the game, how can you aver that "this game gives players in LA the best shot at this time?"

The leaves in my teacup says an italian man is going to approach offering you a disguised pool of quicksand.

I don't. My thinking is the commission has been removed and that makes every bet a little closer to +EV as compared to the commission tables. Also we are a lot closer to a big hunk of LA. Traveling and gas time and cost are reduced. I'm about to post a summary of the game at HPC and would welcome any and all feedback.

End of story. A worthless, ripoff game for 99.9% of players. You mentioned five decks, which is unusual, except with Continuous Shuffling Machines. If a Continuous Shuffling Machine is used and naturals pay only 6:5, it ranks among the worst games in the country, an unplayable ripoff for probably 99.99% of players.

No shuffling machine is used. They use a shoe and a player has the option to cut the deck before its placed in the shoe, then the dealer inserts a card approx 4 decks in and the last deck is used to play the last hand before it is reshuffled. yes the dealer hits on soft 17.
The complaints about the 6:5 payout has been noted and will be probably gone over at the next floor mgrs meeting. Keeping my fingers crossed. Cheers

Just to let you know some background on that 6:5 rule, if you haven't already seen it on this website and others, is that a lot of regular blackjack players do not consider a game that pays 6:5 on naturals a true blackjack game. You could probably trade most of the "yes's" in your list for "nos" and it would still be considered a true blackjack game if the naturals payed 3:2.

...Which has a slightly better advantage for the participant than traditional baccarat if I'm not mistaken, but it is no free ride. They tinkered with the bank having a three card winning total of 7, making it an automatic push.

Have your friends make a true, no commission baccarat game with standard baccarat rules and I'll mortgage the farm and be at the tables tomorrow, betting the max on the bank, along with a thousand other Green Chippers. If they are looking to increase their drop, this is my advice. As far as the hold, how about negative 100+%.

Molded as far as i know 6:5 is offered by everyone in LA (please let me know of those who aren't) and based on all of your feedback i'm working on trying to change that. Yes we were once in bad shape. (awful dump) We now have new ownership, he has brought in new people and done a bunch of work on the inside creating one big nice room that is way way better than anything before. Hopefully this will take us until the new casino and hotel have finished construction. If you haven't dropped by in a while and are passing by check us out and let me know.

As i said in the scam reply the new owner has really cleaned the place up and pretty much hired all new staff and security, valet, chefs etc etc. If you have not been here in a while and your passing by drop in and let me know what you think of how the improvements are going.

Blackjack by definition throughout its 100+ year history pays 3:2 so a game shortpaying at 6:5 is not blackjack and any 6:5 game calling itself blackjack is a scam as it rips off unsuspecting customers who believe they are getting correct blackjack odds at 3:2 on their wager. Normandie Casino in LA offers 3:2 blackjack but yes you would be correct if you said most or all games in LA are a horrendous scam for degenerates willing to accept huge house edges and advantages that make Las Vegas look like a charitable non-profit. That's why you notice the character of the person who gambles regularly at card rooms in LA is usually a severe addict or a far greater degenerate than is typically found in Las Vegas and that says a lot. Only the most gullible dregs of society would accept the types of disadvantageous games offered by LA card rooms ranging from a 4% to about a 50% disadvantage on a player's wager by my calculations.
