can you comment in more detail? have not seen anything yet. I would think la berge du lac is ok but that won't help us "southern boys" if the boats are out of commission. trust me I know the feeling. this seems like such a peddly post considering all thats happend in the last month, those offended please forgive me.
I agree in light what happened this is small patatoes but my main base of casino action has been wiped out.
L'auberge, Harrah's, and Isle of Capri in Lake Charles are closed until further notice as is Coushatta in Kinder.
The damage is not as extensive as N.O. or Miss. but these casinos will probably be out for several weeks.
Shreveport is still open as is Baton Rouge but the drive is three times as far for me.
I prefer the MS coast. But the casinos are scattered up and down the beach, in (mostly) small pieces. Tunica is the next-best choice, but it is a much longer drive because of all the small towns and traffic signals on the way, as well as the road construction and far lower speed limits (no interstate from here to there, etc).
My blackjack playing is probably going to be a lot more Casino Verite' and a lot less real casinos for a long while. :(
