KO ?

I have started playing 6 d shoes and use the IRC of -20 as stated in the KO book. I have only been to the casino once, since starting to count. I found it really difficult to count with such high negative numbers.
Any suggestions on if I could alter the IRC to a lower number? And if so, what would be the key and pivot point?
I am open to any suggestions as I am still researching counting methods.

Yup

Yeah guy, just adjust the numbers, simple as that. For example for 8 decks, it is IRC:0, KC:+22, Pivot:+32. Thats just a rough count, I hope its correct.

For six decks, use IRC=0, KC=16, PP=24.
As a matter of fact, if I were starting again, I would use IRC=10.
Then you would seldom get into negatives.

However, using an IRC of 10, you would also get some very large positive numbers. You need to decide which causes you more difficulty, negative numbers or large positive numbers.

The other thing to consider is that if you will be changing numbers of decks, you should choose your IRCs so that your pivot point is always the same, regardless of the number of decks. Otherwise, your indexes will change every time the game changes.

Reread the book a couple of times, and I think this will all become clear. It explains this very well, I think.

8 deck: IRC=2, Key=24 & Pivot=34, Insurance=33
