The K-O book reccomends 1-5 on single and DD games, 1-10 on 6 deck.
Here is what I use:
1 Deck 1 to 5: 1, 2, 4, 5
2 Decks 1 to 8: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8
6 Decks 1 to 12: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10
