Out of today's Las Vegas Review-Journal and not much of a surprise.

[The Review-Journal took some heat recently in Blackjack Forum magazine for "overreacting" to the use of excessive force against advantage gamblers. "One industry spokesman" is quoted as saying "We hardly ever beat a player badly enough that he requires hospitalization. I'm not saying it doesn't happen -- but it's not the norm."]

The quote by the industry spokesman was made up. The BJ Forum piece was fiction, it was satire, written by AS.

Satire is often TRUE

I'd be willing to wager that some of the casino folks would think a SMALL beating would be okay to deliver occasionally to card counters who are "too good."

Simple technique

Used to be we'd have a LV phone book available for "the lesson". It's too big now so we just hit 'em wit a forearm.
