I'm planning a trip to Las Vegas next week and will probably stay at the (new) Binions.

Any info on the BJ tables, since they've reopened, would be greatly appreciated...

...but I would have swore I saw a post or growl or something similar by LVBear recently, indicating that NIB's (New-Improved Binions) has added a "couple" of playable games since the new management took over.

However, wherever I read it, I cannot find it now. As I recall, they have kept most of their "mouth-watering" 6:5, and just added a few decent games..."mouth-watering" because meal comps are easy for anyone playing this game.

NIB's advertisement..."We make it right for the gambler! All BJ tables now SD, with liberal rules, and Shuffle-point set so deep, that if we run out of cards, No Problem, we'll just reshuffle. 100X Odds on Craps are back, as is the Single-0 Roulette table. FP 9/6 Progressive VP. Room rate reduced back to $9.99 a night, though almost no one who plays a few hours will pay a dime. Ask for a meal comp....we'll only ask 'for how many'....".

Seriously, recent info. indicates that NIB's have improved conditions somewhat, though nothing like the "good old days". Also, suggest only "low-spread for comps" action at your "home store". Get CBJN...will save you many hours of scouting time!

Tamose: While Binion's has easy access, through the Freemont Street experience, to most of the Downtown Casinos, the surrounding area is seedy. Stay in the main pedestrian areas and you will be safe at any hour of the day or night.

Downtown has many good F & B bargains. Also, you have easier access and closer proximity to the neighboring casinos than you would on the glamorous Strip. You should have a good time and hopefully a profitable trip worth bragging (posting) about. Good Luck and Good Counting!
