I Feel So Blessed

Some of you were right--negative fluctuation is such a blessing. It was so much fun losing max bet after max bet...but grinding out small wins at $25 or $50 when the count was positive but low. Even better was watching the dealer bust in negative counts. Oh, but on the plus side, I bought some valuable time because I will be welcomed with open arms at this casino. When you're right, you're right--negative fluctuation is our friend.

I think part of the problem is my game selection. This game is marginal at best, DD,s17,das,rsa, but depending on the dealer only a bit over 50% penetration. When I find a dealer that cuts deeper than the house directs, then it is pretty good. So, while I really like DD games, I think I'll stick with the 6D games where the pen is about 75% and I can spread to two hands with only a $3-$5 minimum.

I'm learning, albeit slowly.

If you can get this game heads up, play two hands at all counts, and spread $10-$100 on each hand, you'll make just over $60 per hour. With a $10K BR, your RoR will be 11.2%. Thus, under these conditions, not a bad game.

P.S. Like you & revereman, my old friend negative variance visited me yesterday to the tune of -$2.1K. Oh, well... if we were to win every time, the casinos would have no trouble determining "who's who" ;-)

Good suggestions, but the problem is that my bankroll doesn't support that betting level. Currently, my bankroll is only $7000. Betting two hands would require me to bet $20 on each, and I don't think that I could get away with a 1-10 spread even if I could bet $10 on two hands.

The best I could probably do would be a 1-5 spread with $20 on each hand. I might be able to drop to $10 on a single hand when the count went negative, but if I'm Head to Head, my guess is that may not help with the ROR since I wouldn't have other players to take the "bad" cards.

I could easily be wrong, but I'm thinking that between my current bankroll, the poor penetration, and the bet minimums, this may not be the best game. I also find that I can go head to head with the dealer only about 20% of the time.

I really miss the game that I was barred from. DD with great penetration, decent rules and a $15 minimum. The minimum is a bit high for my bankroll, but the rest of the game made up for it.
