how does "card counting Camouflage" affect the EV?

To me it seems like it cuts largely into one's advantage

for example, gamemaster bj recommends that:

Gamblers NEVER leave a table after a win. If the count has dropped below -1, continue playing at the minimum bet until you lose a hand.

Occasionally, insure your Blackjack against the dealer's Ace when you have the minimum bet out. Do not ask for 'even money'; go through the motions like you don't know how it all works. This will also make the dealer slow down on her insurance calls in the future which will give you extra time to calculate the true count. It's best to do this 'minimum' insurance bet when a floor supervisor is looking.

Once or twice in each session, start off a new shoe with a bet of 2 or 3 times the minimum.

As we are barely gaining an advantage with a TC2 doing such thing seems to me to take away all of our advantages....anyone know by how much this camouflage affects our EV?

Ian Anderson talks alot about this in his book "burning the tables" His cover plays are alot different, he estimates hes losing 1/3 of his advantage by using these plays. I think he confirmed these results with Mr. Wong himself

I agree with gamemaster (my mentor) to always leave on a losing hand. I have come to the conclusion that this is very cheap cover. yes you lose one hand for sure, but I can't tell you the number of times that the dealer busted or I made my hand and they just keep giving you the chips. Another cheap cover I never hear explained is " another game"
Go to the craps table and just watch a while. Cheer when someone makes their point. Put out a minimum bet on the pass line, If you win pick up your won chip and leave the original. If you lose just hang out a while. Cost of this most excellent cover is what 10 cents? Casino personnel tend to think that counters only play blackjack.
yesterday I won $15 just trying to establish a little cover. I had a great day yesterday my wins were way beyond expectation and I'm spending today cooling myself down, that I am not the grand Po-bah

Its very safe to trust his advice. yesterday i was dealt two tens and the dealer had a 5 showing, the count was only +2 but the pit director asked me aren't you going to split them. I looked at him and said who would be dumb enough to break up a losing hand. He laughed happy with the answer he got and i got the information I needed at this casino one of the marks of a counter is someone that splits their 10's. I'll never spit tens here. more advice that seems contrary to popular BJ culture. The negative image of Casino personnel. I know the first person to use the term "pet critter" was clever but I believe it is not possible to secretly hold a negative impression of someone and for them not to pick up on it. At the casino where I play I like the personnel and the casino manager. Its not personal when I take their money. Its not personal when they take mine. Its their job and my hobby. I'm friendly and outgoing and I never let them know that I win consistently. i tell jokes and we all laugh and have a good time. Its' just who I am, I think thats everyones best cover be themselves minus the cover. I had a really cool black dude sitting next to me yesterday we got to talking and had a lot in common. He didn't know how to play blackjack but when he did something right I just said " good play " the next time that play came around he repeated the correct strategy by the time I left he was playing pretty good basic strategy. plays can make you good money and is nothing to *sneer* at.
