what I do.
I do two things every day.
1. I have created a "custom user drill". I run thru basic strategy on all hands, then basic strategy with the I18/F4 indices that are based on the count, then a 6d counting drill followed by a 6d full table drill. I do this daily without fail, usually late at night between commercials on the news or whatever I watch.
2. I have set up the game to use my counting system, and set up my betting ramp, and I play SD/DD/6D (I vary) at a rate of about 600 hands an hour, with a goal of zero playing/betting errors for the session. You will probably make a betting error or two as it is easy to do using a mouse, even though you know the right amount to bet...
I do these daily as it will certainly improve your playing skill significantly. Before you know it, you will know whether to hit/stand/split/double/surrender without even knowing you thought about it. You will be counting, doing the TC conversion, and getting the right bet or BS departure play, again almost without thinking. When you get into a casino, things will appear to go _so_ slowly, you could almost write a letter while playing without missing a beat...
Once you can play for an hour with zero errors, and get through your custom cv drill suite with no errors, you will have confidence that the casino setting is not going to cause you any difficulty whatsoever... And you will find that if you do this nightly, the so-called "true count conversion problem" (assuming you use a true-counted system) simply disappears, and you don't even think about it, always getting the right bet or play without even realizing it...
