I'm a beginner card counter and i've been practicing bs, variations and cc by playing at home games this past few weeks. I figure that i should practice the basics and my skills here before playing seriously at the casinos.
Our rules are as follows:
-6 decks, S17, DOA, DAS, LSR, No Insurance
-RSA (Resplit aces or any card for that matter any number of times if the oppurtunity arises)
-Triple 7 and Suited 6-7-8 pays 3:1
-Dealer bj pushes with Player bj, No hole card (dealer just draws from deck as necessary)
-Almost 95%-100% Penetration (!) with burn cards every round (dealer shows the burn card to all of us.... All other players are ploppies and want to see if the banker would have busted, or if last player should have hit etc. etc.)
-Redoubling allowed (triples, quadruples)
-Minimum bet is 1$ while Maximum bet is 10$
-Held 2-4 nights a week with 6-10 hours of play each night
These rules are patterned at local casinos but our rules are much more loose (obviously, hehe). Ive been using Hi-Lo count and basic strategy taught at this website and i have been seeing results finally this past week.
My questions are:
1. What is the house expectation with these rules?
2. What is the optimal betting spread and when do i max bet?
3. Do i always hit for possible triple 7's, Suited 6-7-8's?
HappyGambler told me in another thread to:
-double 5 against 6 then redouble on 7-11
-double 6 against 5,6 then redouble 8-11
-redouble 12 vs dealer's 7 and 8,
-redouble 13 vs dealer's 7
4. Are there any other conditions in redoubling i should know of and how does high and low true count come into place here?
5. How do i maximize my profit more? Any more tips?
Playing at home games has become profitable for learning proper BJ and my pocket as well. Hope you guys can help me. Thanks you in advance.
