Hitting Soft 17 at Mirage and Bellagio :-(
I just saw in this month's CBJN that Mirage and Bellagio are hitting soft 17 at many of their CSM and shoe tables. I guess it was inevitable that they would go the way of most of the strip. One thing I liked about these two casinos was that they were consistent on standing on soft 17 at all tables and you didn't have to go around looking for decent rules. It's too bad - Bellagio was a place I liked to stay and play blackjack. I guess I'll have to start looking for a new place when I stay on the strip, although there are few left with decent rules. Or stick to downtown, where at least you get some other advantages in exchange for hitting soft 17.
