Hi-Lo Index numbers for typical Double Deck games

Wong provides High-Low index numbers in Professional Blackjack for 1D, 4D and 6D for various combinations. From a (not completely exhaustive) comparison of the 4D and 6D numbers, they appear to be the same. However, the SD numbers are substantially different.

What numbers should be used for DD games? Does anyone know where I can get a comprehensive set of DD index numbers for the 4 different combinations of DD given by H17/S17 and DAS/no DAS?

The DD numbers should be very similar to those for 6D. So just memorize the 6D numbers and use them for both DD and 6D.

My first post on BJ21 a year and a half ago was the exact same question. I'm glad to say that I've learned a lot since then!

I would have guessed it'd be closer to the SD numbers.

Suggest you try the S-A-G-E Blackjack site, where you'll find full sets of indices for both SD & DD.

I have crawled over the S-A-G-E website and can only find index numbers for SD and 4 or more D, both DAS.

You dont have a direct link to the page by any chance? Or will I have to purchase their software in order to extract the information?

My only other alternative is to derive them myself from my sim tool, but this would be a lot of work to reinvent the wheel.

I was going from memory.

I suggest you print out both sets of indices, and figure the DD ones will be roughly between the SD and 4D indices.

To save yourself a LOT of extra and, IMHO, unnecessary work, first go to www.bjmath.com and find the list of the I18. A minimum of calculations will be required to get the indices for the I18 for DD.

Memorize those, and you've got 80% of the benefit of memorizing the other 112 indices.

in your lifetime, after factoring in variance, for the differences in which exact set of indexes you use to make any difference. Pick a single set and use them for everything. Make your changes for h17 and s17 are much more valuable than changes for decks.
