They first corrected the C-4 ROM glitch in IGT video poker machines, in the mid 80s --where fast play and some strange betting sequences could trigger repeted Quads. It is corrected but it often reoccurs when they do major graphics or security revisions on new ROM programs--well actually now they are flash ram but I digress. Gee that was an expensive and addictive research habit ;-).

I am most suprised at Cacarulo in that he was so roughly treated over his minor heresies and became somewhat fawning after being "accepted." Norm Wattenberger tends to have great integrety and heavens, dares answer questions about his software on several other boards, including on the software page here. That should breakup whatever exclusisity agreement is involved. Janek Karel is of similar calibur though his advocacy of low Kelly fractions in all situations is a bit timid.

Pity them almost for that. There is a bow-effect but no such Floating Advantage, unless you take ML's view of a trial being the standard of truth, and are somehow swayed by his snipping at my posts on this. You simply cannot have a invariant basic strategy advantage and the act of counting somehow make that varry for all counts overall. The bow-effect is the necessary result of the fact that the actual edge of a pack remainder and the true count are topomorphic to each other as they are set on a manifold of the space that is all possible deck orders and subsets (think of a manifold as a barrier between your betting changes and your results, in the sense that the cards don't know what your bet is, and are not affected by your betting, unless the dealer shuffles you up or the pit boss tosses your a** out). As that manifold conforms to the shrinking number of subsets as a pack depletes, the imperfect true count measure of expectation is driven predictably into a bow shaped curve of edge versus true count with penetration in general (or at mean with penetration). But it is a bow-effect that has less edge for the more extreme counts, such that the basic strategy edge does not change overall. If mathprof claims there is no such term as "topomorphic," his bs attached to his handle is not for bachelor of science. But like I put in my much typoed post to Steephan on this, on the books and software board here, Graham-Stokes theory is very tricky to use in such discussions and is a virtual ink blot set for rationalizations.

George C. is in there with them, which is both laughable and a pity at the same time. It is laughable in that George C. has lately been posting on how blackjack, even with counting, is gambling and that it is more moral and right with Jesus to be investing on Wall Street than playing 21. Gee I have to think the GCBs of NV and MS have been a wee bit more effective lately than the US Securities and Exchange Commission. It is a pity in that George C. is at minimum a tresure-trove of stories about advantage play in the past and has perhaps the longest contiuous history as an advantage player.
Kim Lee is perhaps best kept behind such closed doors. I have not seen much of his posts on bjmath.com that go beyond simply typing in his equations and some terse comments that amount to this works. Even Yahweh apparently let his prophets put down his messages in their own style and with their own explanations. Kim Lee tends to just say "here," post, and vanish back to wherever Don calls him from.
As the Sun King of France said, "after me comes the deluge." Or another case of false solutions. Here is an instance of a court of specialists being called into being much like Louis'. And I hope the revolution does not turn to tragedy, but one will come against this. That could easily tarnish the reputations of these very skilled people and enthrone ploppies instead.
Overall I expect the discussions there to be far from being Don's promissed "free for all," and for there to be very little free discussion allowed.
He may be more willing to give some more of the how-tos he omitted from the math analysis he put into Beyond Counting,, but I don't expect him to suffer too many "that's not how to use SCORE," type incidents.

My compliments - you catch on rather quickly.
Truth is, Puiu is (or at least once was) a knowledgeable advantage player.
However, he seems to get some sort of gratification out of posting ridiculous nonsense (usually plagiarized from John Patrick's website or somewhere similar) just to watch people respond to it.

Clarke, how did you get left out of being a 'Blackjack Master'? I don't think any of the masters on that panel are anywhere close to you in terms of expertise on banger play which is, afterall, the most powerful known legal advantage play method in blackjack today. What gives?
Its just a web page with the owners/administrators doing what they want with their business. Its' obviously a business. They sell things and write books and make a living at it. I don't understand you. What is your motivation? Do you want them to accept you or give you a job.
If you have been in some way censored or restricted why not just get out your HTML manual and build your own webpage its just not that hard to do. I could be called Clarks Floating Advantage web page. I have invited you to give me a concrete example of what you hope to convince us of, by that I would like deck or packet makeup and big deck or big packete composition. I think your premise needs a concrete example.Draw us a picture with card values if you need to to demonstrAte what It is you would have us believe. I am a scientist and willing to be convinced I don't want or need anymore explanations about mean deck values and mean compositions. If something is true you can do concrete example of it. If you can't make a concrete example of it, its a religion.
See above where your requests should be answered IMHO. The above post was very difficult to tie together, but you would be suprised at how powerful the mistaken FA theory and the actual true one can be.
About your censorship statement: it tragically turns out that their censorship has hurt themselves most of all.
But I simply don't expect him to put up with the next time that he is bashed for not using SCORE in the same way the others do, or something similar. Grossjean is simply too justifiably tempermental with such situations, and is not going to stand for any Democratic Centralism type thinking and will be a very independant investigator.
Thus I really expect the Master's Forum, on Don's Domain to explode in this order:
James Grossjean--on reinvestigation of some point, someone will make him go "boom" like ML did.
Norm Wattenberg--perhaps on verifying "poison indexes," or continuing to post answers to customer questions not on rge21.com.
Karl Janek--won't say why, but have a private prediction.
Cacarulo--some unkind things said to him will re-irritate in some way.
mathprof--in and out but will do something suprising.
George C. will stay with Don no matter what happens.
Kim Lee, ditto, but will continue to be rather too terse for his post to be too useful, except where the others pickup the ball.
Those are my predictions!

At least I don't think he is. You need to establish a profile with a password so that you can self-delete posts. You can create a profile with as little or as much information about yourself as you want.
Keep in mind that if you delete any of your own posts, it is bad form to orphan any other posts.
So your saying for example that if Clark Cant went ballistic and accussed Puiu of writing a satirical post and then he found out that Puiu didn't do it, the he could just come and delete the post that would make him look like he wasn't as smart as he tries to make everyone think he is?
Puiu. Once again, Puiu took his satire and dragged a portion over to a new post and then said he couldn't be charged with plaggerism for doing so. The only possible self bust was by ETF on this!

I'm not saying that you self deleted A post. I'm predicting a future event in the near future you will be trying to take down all these unfounded accusation you are making about Puiu.
My last self bust was only of a response to Ba Ba Booey that was just feeding him on.
The only possible self bust was by ETF, when I made a similar post to Puiu's by dragging over one of my answers to Quark about the Puiu/Sonia/Queen nexus. Now while a poster has claimed to have met Queen, etc., I have to include that handle due to "her" spam on the CCC, bjrnet.com, and even here about losing it and no I didn't, that makes up 40% of "her" posts on the CCC by actual count. Then the Ariana poster here was obviously the same as the Ariana website owner, and an Ariana post made the same grab of a post by Max Rubin, that Puiu is so found of doing, psoting it here.
Both have matches to my theory I don't care to repete again.

You can also gain access to viewing virtually all of a boards logs when there are some Java code errors. This is a major pain with some advertizers trying to sneak in peeking programs that are sometimes not too well written.
