After a recent blackjack session in the high limit room at the Paris I go to the cage to cash out only around $1,700. They take the chips then ask me for id, I tell them no. They say it's to prove I'm 21, they will write me out a receipt and cash me out when I show id. I tell them I play anonymous and don't give out that info. They still refuse to cash me out or give me the chips back. I argue for awhile and they still refuse. Can they do this? They are telling me they will steal my chips if I don't show id. I finally gave them my id so I could cash out and get out of there. I've never had any problems playing there in the past and felt it wasn't worth the hassle of getting gaming involved, making a huge fuss and possibly getting 86ed. They take my id and scan it in some device and look at some computer screen for awhile. Why do they do this? Are they looking at all my history at all harrahs properties? They finally cash me out and I leave planning to not play there anymore. I've never had anything like this happen before. I've heard if it's under $10,000 they have to cash you out.
What's the standard cage rule if a player looks under 21 and won't show id?
They say it's to prove I'm 21, but I'm much older than that and look much older, they were just using that as an exuse to hassle me, and get my info since I was betting big and won a little money.
