Las Vegas eateries
Tremezzo(aladdin)--very nice, wood-stove oven and terrific entrees with a nice wine list. A bit pricey, but comped.
Garduzo's(sp?) (Palms) Knockout Mexican Food with a salsa bar and terrific Mexican combos. Possibly the best shredded beef burrito I have ever tasted.
And DO NOT MISS: Lotus of Siam (Thai)
This is located in a commercial/shopping center at 953 East Sahara. Do not be put off by the exterior or surroundings. This is world class Thai cuisine. The owner, Bill, is a German wine expert and has amassed an absolutely divine list of Kabinett,Spatlese, Auslese, beerenauslesan, and yes, even the difficult to find trockenbeerenauslesan. I went there last week and Bill wasn't there, but a smallish young Asian chap named "A" took care of me. I told him that I wasn't terribly hungry, but wanted to sample small glasses of all the wines he had open. No Problem. He brought me 12- 1/4 glasses of wine and several appetizers to match with each. It was a blast.
Kokomo's in the Mirage is excellent; try the porterhouse; it was Chicago class. The crab cakes were scrumptious.
Enjoy and bon appetit! CC Rider
