This is John Auston here, posting after a long absence, in order to announce something I hope you will find of value.

I have decided to offer, on a you-set-the-price basis, the blackjack risk management software

program (BJRM 2002) that I wrote way back in 2002. I've been selling BJRM at $80 for all these years,

and now would like to try something quite different, to sort of "give back" to the BJ community, and so

that more players can take advantage of the potential the software offers to help raise the level of their game.

I've just re-hosted the web site, and you can go there now to "read all about it," as they say.

The content at www.bjriskmanager.com is quite extensive, and I did that, frankly, because the site

needs to substitute for my need to answer individual questions about how the software works.

There are even videos on the main program features, and if you have questions beyond that, try

posting here and I'm betting someone can help you.

Most of you, as readers of BJA3 and, especially, its predecessors, BJA and BJA2, know of my longstanding relationship with John Auston, for whom I have the utmost respect. He is one of the great researchers of the game, and his BJRM was, and still is today, one of my very favorite pieces of software, for all the reasons outlined on his bjriskmanager.com web site.

This latest offer is, of course, a no-brainer. How would it be remotely possibly for anyone reading these lines NOT to download BJRM 2002 entirely for free? You�d have to be crazy! If you never purchased this fantastic product, well, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year, all rolled into one, because if you don�t avail yourself of this highly unusual offer, quite frankly, you�re nuts!

As for the �Tip Jar,� far be it for me to be your conscience. John wrote to me, �Let�s see if there�s any honor among APs.� I said, �I think people will do the right thing.� But then again, you�re APs! For you, �the right thing� is probably to take the download and run! John knows that. Either way, his �reward� will be to get this magnificent tool into the hands of many more players. So, he can�t lose. And, of course, neither can you.

Can you put the original BJRM 2000 One Second Sim files that you stripped out of the BJRM 2002 version back into the program.

I'm not a pirate and would be delighted to pay John a respectable price.

I have a copy of sbacalc.xml.

On Christmas Eve 2004, I tried to install the BJRM CD and got an error message. I was so frustrated and pissed off that I posted on BJ21 green chip that it wouldn't work. Al Rogers saw the post and took some time out of his Christmas holiday to send me a link to download load the program and that worked. How is that for great service!

I do believe Al sent me a replacement CD, but I don't know if I ever tried it since I had it already installed on my computer by the download.

Right now I don't even know where I put the CD, but I would like to install it on my laptop. However, I don't feel I should have to pay anything again since I already paid for it once. So if I decide to download it to my laptop I hope John Auston will understand why I'm not making a donation for it since I already paid for it once.

Let me say that BJRM is a nice little program, and I'm impressed by it. However, I too would like to get the additional sims that were available with BJRM 2000, but were not available with BJRM 2002.

I need to get paypal up to date. They've sent me some emails about needing to upgrade/update.... Thank you for the offer!
