If you are caught, suspected, asked to leave, backed off etc. do they get a picture of you from the cameras and put them in the griffin book, or circulate them to all the other casinos? When your photo gets circulated they have facial reconition software that spots you before you even sit down right? A couple times I was sure the pit thought I was counting before I left. If this photo thing happens does it happen at all stakes or just high stakes? If you win and they think you might have been counting do they go over the tapes after you left, then get the photo from the cameras? Do I need to keep changing my appearance just in case? I'm not rated so I dont think they know who I am. One casino when I sat down the dealer asked to see my Id, then the guy in the pit took it and ran it through some machine. Why did they do that? To check me in somehow? to see if I was on record a counter? They said they did that to make sure it was a valid id, but I dought it.

Most casinos will contain a record of undesirable players that functions like a �Wanted List�. Actually, it is more like an �Un-Wanted List�; these are players the casinos does not playing.

If you are backed off or 86ed, you will usually be added to that list. If they have a picture of you (and they probably have at least some picture), they will include that in the Mug Book.

In some jurisdictions they cannot bar players, so they resort to counter-measures. If you have been placed on �Half-Shoe� at one of these casinos, then it is also possible that you are in the book of bad guys.

Sometimes casino will "flyer� players to other casinos, or report you to some agency like Griffin. However, this is not automatic.

Usually, solo players at lower stake, they will not flyer you. Higher stakes players are more likely to be flyered. If they suspect of being a team member, you are more likely to be flyered.
If the casino is part of chain, then it is possible, even likely, that you will be flyered to the other stores within the chain.

Regarding your incident with the ID: do you look underage. If you look 30 or younger, they may have been checking you for age. If you have been playing that place a lot, it could be that they are considering backing you off, and they want to get more information for the files.

I agree with this. If it is not for age verification, CTR purposes, or a few high-end promotions, a casino has absolutely no right to see a patron's ID. If they insist on it, "just say no." If they become aggressive about it, leave the casino.

If it is for age verification, let them see it but do not let them take it out of your hand. One method is to have it in a plastic window in you wallet, and show it through the window. Never let any casino employee take your ID into his or her physical possession. Never let them make a photocopy or scan it through any kind of device. If they ask why you don't want this done, talk about identity theft. All but the most overzealous employees will back down and leave you alone.
