FL boy ,lost west of NO going to Vegas

Very comfortable on MS gulf coast ,but going to Vegas for 3 days in August ,haven't been since 2000 for union convention and family vacation . My son and 3 of his friends just turned 21 and believe it or not most want me in town at same time (car and free food ).Don't subscribe to CBJN( I know ,I know )but looks like most of strip is H17 at least at $5 and $10 tables(rules were better in 2000) . Are there stores on the strip with the good rules like MS?
Son and 1 friend will be staying at IP and other 2 at Harrah's ,so I will not stay at either of those properties . Will any of the small properties nearby (Bar Coast,Gold Coast ,whatever else ) comp me 3 nights for about $20 average bet or should I just book in advance. Prices are cheap downtown but would rather be closer but not too close (what happens there stays there).In 2000 we stayed at Rio and much of my play was at Coast casinos ,they were quite generous with food comps even though I guess they sweat the money.
If I get chastised too severally for not subscribing to CBJN , I could order the 1 issue by e-mail. Do I want regular text or PDF text,not a computer whiz .

Order the CBJN. It's well worth the investment. If you have Adobe Acrobat reader on your computer, then get the pdf version. It's very easy to read. And, if you don't have the reader, CBJN provides a link to download.

And, BTW, if you can, move from the IP. It's a dump. I stayed there for a blackjack tournament a few months ago. It is on par with Circus Circus. Move to Palace Station or one of the other off-strip hotels. IP needs to be torn down and replaced by a real hotel.
