Yeah, right....
Most importantly though, tip! After a Blackjack especially! It won't hurt your profit much, and being a dealer myself, I would keep my mouth shut about you to the pit manager because you are helping out "The crew", and I would not jeopardize MY paycheck.
First of all, Richard, how about YOU tipping ME every time YOU get a natural? Or draw to a five-card 21?
If you want my tip, then, for instance, you need to consider dealing the extra round when I do decide to put a tip beside the circle, instead of shuffling, not to mention other things.
As far as not hurting my profit much, all I can say is, I didn't come to your store to share my profits with you in the first place (no offense intended), but if you want to put forth a little bit of effort, you might make a couple of bucks. And if I do win a decent amount of money, I'll take care of you when I leave the table. Don't stand there while I'm playing my hand and make offhanded remarks about players who don't tip, all that will do is make me certain not to leave you one single penny. Trust me, I've seen dealers do the same thing that you say the customers do, and I didn't like being belittled by a smartass dealer who thinks that the player "owes" him/her a tip.
JFWIW.
