ne1 eva been busted with fake id by a casino?

if so, what happened? and what type of id?

did they call the cops, and if so, what did the cops do?

i've thought about using fake id, and then if the cops got called, just tell them the truth about y i'm using it - im a counter and dont wanna b identified from griffin or from a previous trip or maybe info xchange from another casino. afta all i'm not committing a crime with it, right?

ne lawyers know whether u could be busted - what is the worst that cud happen to ya? would it matter what type of id it was? i can get my hands on international passports from strange countries as well as fake us drivers licenses.

I don't bring my ID into the casino. I have not been asked, but if so, I would just state that left my in the car/hotel because I don't trust myself with the credit cards. If getting a comp requires ID, then I state I can't afford getting mail from the casino at my home.

But, how do I qualify for any comps when I won't produce my ID?

i play black chips only
i get comped big time, full rfb plus airfare, the hosts gladhand me all the way
at my level, there is no way i could survive 2 secs without id
i often cash in for more than 10k in a session
i need to stay in the hotels therefore show id
of course this also means i need to show the hotel a credit card (i can get one in the name of the fake id no problem)
if i dont show id, mistrust and suspicion begin immediately
no ploppy at my level wouldnt take advantage of the comps, in fact they would be on a first name basis with their regular host

to be using false ID to violate Nevada state Reg 6A CTR reports which require you to give true ID in Nevada for transactions over $10K.

Are you reporting your BJ $$$$ action to the IRS?
Are you using fake (ID, name, address, or SS#) for your income tax.
Are you using your real name or the fake one on Schedule A - Itemized Deductions (Form 1040)?

If we are supposed to declare BJ winnings as taxable income, then I guess we should be able to claim BJ losses as a deductable business expense?? Government sucks.

but the government must get thousands and thousands of them every day and who will ever know?

also, the id i can get can be from overseas - so it doesnt effect the us government at all and there is no ss# to worry about

Ivan, If you are using a forgery of an ID such as a driver's license you are committing a crime. If you provide false information on an offical government form you are committing perjury, which is also a crime. How can you get caught even though the government is swamped with the forms? If it ever kicks out as false they will visit the casino to investigate. If the address on the fake id is a good one they will track you that way. If you've used a credit card they will get the number an track you that way. If you arranged your visit via the internet they'll track you through the ISP. They'll also possibly be able to get your photo if it's still in the casino's surveilance tapes. I'm sure that you can think of more ways to be discovered if you put your mind to it.

very unlikely to kick out as false if it is an overseas id i would think. even so, do u really think they would visit the casino investigate? after all, its not terrorism, its just some guy gambling lots of cash who doesnt want people to know - how many guys like that must there be?

on what grounds? my only "crime" is not being who i said i was. i didnt hurt, assault, injure or murder anyone. i didnt cheat or steal. i didnt attempt any confidence trick or con. all i did was gamble in a casino and didnt want anyone to know my real name. i could even argue i did it for privacy reasons!

that's why i'm asking if anyone has any experience with this sort of thing - i'd like to hear from anyone who did get busted and to know what happened to them. surely its happened to someone on this site

who do u mean by "they"? the casino or the government? what is the worst the casino can do - kick me out (which i can live with). i find it hard to believe the government is going to send agent mulder around to check out some gambler in vegas. but maybe i am wrong, thats why i am asking

If you earn the money here you owe taxes on it. The US government does not exempt non-U.S. citizens from taxes on casino winnings.

The solution is simple. A legal name change can be done rather cheap. Once your name is leagally changed drivers liscense, credit cards and other forms of I.D. can be obtained Legally!!

The I.D. you then show to anyone is a Legal I.D.

You can legally change your name as often as you like.

this would not be a case of them demaning id and me refusing...it would be a case of they already have a copy of it (or at least the details) and have had for some time. they've probably used it to send off those 10k+ forms many times.

now what i am asking is what if they later 86 me and take a good look at my id and figure out it is cr*p?

One of the above posts stated that you need a real ID for transactions over $10K (legally)...does that imply that one can use a phony ID for transactions under $10K legally???

If a person was to do this they wouldn't go on a public forum....If a person is going to commit a crime they go out and do it, they don't think about the "What will happen" the rush they get from doing it is usually the the force behind it....

The only time a casino is worried about blackjack winnings is when the amount win/lose is over 10 grand....This is the amount the gov. use to track larger money transactions.....This is to track maybe drugs, maybe washing? At no time do they issue a 1099 or other forms on blackjack, It is considered a cash game, not a jackpot game.... In jackpot game, gov. forms are issued and tax may have to be paid.....

Xinhua, That question came up here a year or two ago and if I remember correctly table game winnings by aliens are exempt from taxation.
