I can prove they fail:)
What's the deal with all these books out there that say you don't have to count to win and it's a waste of time. Are these authors just making a quick buck off of those who think counting is to hard to learn.
They might think they are, but they are deluding themselves if that is so. Publishing is a bad industry to make money out of (unless you write cookbooks or horseshit about why 9/11 was carried out by aliens). The market is small compared to other forms of entertainment.
Gambling books are a small part of the book market.
The market for advantage play books is a small part of the gambling books market. The market for books which say advantage play doesn't work is a niche within a niche within a niche within a crap industry.
Some of these people swear by it and I just can't see how you can have the same if not more of an advantage by not counting. What do you think?
In most cases they just honestly believe what they write, however stupid it is.
These are people who publish books. People involved in mail-order scams where large amounts of money are involved (eg E Clifton Davis and Leonard Benson) are far more cynical and ruthless.
