I would appreciate any insight regarding the following subject:
I live in an area where there are several small "casinos" which only offer table games due to local laws). Sometimes these "casinos" have only 1 blackjack table in action at a given time. Still, I have noticed that there are security cameras on the ceiling just like any large casino.
My question: Do I need to worry about a "counter-catcher" on the other end of that security camera scrutinizing my play? Or, is the camera there just for catching foul play, dealers stealing, etc. I can't see how a small card house could afford to employ a surveillance person when there are so few tables/players, especially one who is adept at detecting card-counting. Is it possible that the cameras are fed to a central monitoring hub where it would be cost-effective to employ a counter-catcher? (note: some of the "casinos" are part of a small chain).
I am confident that my cover against the pit is okay, but I worry about what goes on behind the "eye-in-the-sky."
Thanks, Theo
