Hello, I was just wondering what info there is about the eye in the sky. I have been to the casinos a few times and have had the dealers and pit bosses think i am an idiot who doesnt know how to play blackjack, however i worry that the eye in the sky is watching the count and checking my bets according to the count?

Unless you are betting large or you are already a suspected counter known to them, the odds are that the eye isn't going to just zero in on you and watch every bet and play you make. Usually, there are no more than two people on the eye at any point in time. They are charged with watching every slot machine and table game in the place. They don't have the time to pick out a player at random and just evaluate his play. Something has to happen to call that player to their attention, and the vast majority of the time, that something is a call from the pit requesting that a player be evaluated.
If you are betting Green to black and playing a winning game, them get Cellini's book (I know, it is overpriced relative to other BJ books, but it is still worth every penny).
If you are betting red, then don't worry about it.
Sure, don't worry. The casinos don't care if you're winning money from them.

Red Chip players do not need to worry much about surveilance, IMHO. I am basing this solely on my limited experience. In the few clubs that I have gotten heat betting red, the heat has always come from the floor (sometimes confirmed by surveillance). Usually, these are sawdust joints that lack decent surveillance equipment or personnel. Have you seen the cameras at the El Cortez? I highly doubt that any heat is being initiated from surveillance at that place.
Your experience may be different. I would personally be surprised to hear of a red chipper who had the pit completely fooled, but got nailed by the EITS. Not saying it doesn't happen, just that it is rare, IMHO.

I had a dealer push my 15 tonight (dealer had 20) with a $300 bet out and no phone call from surveillence. They can't watch every table, every fill, every slot handpay, and every bartender simultaneously.
Maybe you guys can tell the President Casino that they weren't "supposed to" call the Biloxi police department to follow us back to our room the night we won a lousy 70 bucks betting reds counting cards. It's obvious that the trolls and shills for the book sellers must advance an illusion of players not getting heat because if people knew the truth they wouldn't buy those books. They don't like that someone who DOES have "table experience" dares speak the truth on these forums.

Just Wondering -- Why is having the Police "follow" you back to your motel room, heat? How do you know the casino told them to follow you? Maybe that's why they only followed you, what the hell were they going to do if they "caught" you? LOL.
How do you know they were following you? Maybe they were just going in the same direction you were? Maybe you were from out-of-town and they were just bored. More likely you were as drunk and obnoxious there as you are here, and they were looking out for your own safety.

I am constantly amazed that Casino management cares at all when I have a max bet of only a few hundred dollars. However, I can honestly say that the worst I have experienced was a rude 86'ing at the El Cortez. No physical violence, but then again I was only betting $60 and was down $35.
If you are worried about heat as a red chipper, then you are either paranoid, or are playing in a complete dump. Either way, you don't need to worry about surveilance at that bet level. The pit maybe, but not surveilance.

Actually, you guys are great entertainment. You don't like what I have to say (which is based on REALITY not the FANTASY world that book sellers present) so first I'm a "casino agent", then I don't actually play blackjack, now I'm supposed to be some guy who calls himself TG. Hell the only reason I even come back here is to see what outrageous lie you guys will say about me next. All it shows is your desperation at the truth being revealed to the suckers you want to keep blind and stupid.
It wasn't just the police escort. How about a pit boss standing over the table with his arms crossed like I Dream Of Jeanie as we decided to leave? And staring at us from across the casino with a look that could exterminate head lice as we cashed out and walked out? Or the security guard who trailed us as we left? Of course this wasn't even an isolated incident in Biloxi. How about being directly accused of being a "card marker" at Boomtown for red chip winning, which we had to call Dave Kingman at the Miss. Gaming Commission to clear up (which eventually earned us an official appology from Boomtown)? How about being harassed, stalked, and threatened by a pit boss on a (not to be named) Florida boat? I know better... anyone who tells me that winning red action does not draw heat is full of shit.

Now that you explain your definition of "heat", you are correct. We were just using different definitions of that term. Personally, I don't get too concerned if a pit boss gives me a dirty look, or if security follows me out of a casino. These are probably indicators that I should leave soon, but I don't exactly lose any sleep over it. Also, remember that the original point was about whether the heat would initially be generated by the floor or the EITS for red chip play. I guess you have conceded that the EITS is not scouring red chip action unless they get a specific call from the floor.
If you are worried about drawing heat as a red chip counter, then quit playing in dumps. Better yet, if this type of "heat" bothers you, then just stay at home and don't interact with anybody. Another driver gave me a dirty look on my way to work this morning. Oh my god, I guess I need to give up driving.
