No
No casino employee, including the cop wannabe security guards, have a right to see your ID. Of this there is no doubt. In fact, a cop does not have the right unless he has reasonable suspicion to believe you have commited a crime. (Yes, the U.S. Constitution even reaches Nevada--barely.) If you play very long, you will hear such nonsense as, "You have to have ID to be in a casino." This is something ignorant casino employees learn from even more ignorant casino employees. In these days of identity theft, I never show an ID to anyone other than a hotel registration clerk, and do not allow them to hold it. Just mumble something about being the victim of identity theft and display it for them to read. Keep it in a see through plastic holder in your wallet, so you do not have to take it out to display it. Under no circumstances, do you ever allow then to scan it.
Just tell all others that you would rather not. If you have a players card, you can let them see that, if you think you have nothing to lose. But keep this in mond, if they want to see your ID, it is generally not a good thing. This means they have a reaosn to verify who you are. This is your cue to find another game. As advised above, just leave and cash chips later. And do not waste anytime getting off the property, you never know what they might have in mind. It is important to get out of the casino and off the property, where the guards will not feel they have the right to commit assault and battery.
