Defects in CSM's . . .

I've heard that some people have found CSM's that are not truly random with their shuffling. How would they have found these defects in the machine. If a machine was actually not completely random, one could keep a running count from when the 5 decks are initially placed in the machine, if the count were to keep going up or down for say an hour, then it may continue to do so for some time. If this were the case and you found a positive count, you could flat bet and beat the game. I dont know if this could work, it just crossed my mind, but does anyone know how these people who claim to beat CSM's for much money do it?

No I dont think anyone would post their entire method/strategy, I just wanted some info on the subject. Why dont you share what you seem to know about it? Thanks.

It is well known that casino employees patrol these boards looking for people to point out loopholes in their systems. If someone posts a stradegy that they've worked long and hard to prefect on this board then there is a good chance that counter measures will be taken. This is why there are lots of vague discussions on this board, there isn't really anything to gain by shooting yourself in the foot so few people do it.

Didn't they offer some large amount, 100,000 or something if anyone could demonstrate a way to beat their machines?

Why take the 100K if you could beat it for much more over time.
Would you sell your goose that lays golden eggs every day that is worth 5K per egg?

If the eggs were worth $500 per, then I probably would. I'd be real suprised if anyone was beating a CSM for 5K/day.

I have been using the "just say no" strategy; but got suckered by offers to my wife and I for a free buffet and $5 slot play. I won $6 for the $5 but lost on the CSM's with my up-to-know secret failed strategy for continous shufflers:

I continuously shuffle tables. Leave after one loss and go to another table, wandering aimlessly from table to table. This strategy seemed to make pb's nervous, but I explained that it was counter strategy to their CSM's and everybody got a good laugh, especially some of the players.

The buffet is as good as any in Reno, and worth the 14 mile drive as long as you don't play bj or slots, or anything else there for that matter.

Well I guess that makes sense. Im not asking for anyones golden secret to beat CSM's (although that would be nice), but I'd just like some info on the subject and what makes certain CSM's beatable. If I'm not mistaken I think there was an Australian team that somehow noticed a faulty CSM. They tracked the cards via some wireless device and an off site computer was able to accurately determine the cards that would come out the next round. I read this on the net probably 3 months ago and can't remember if there were details as to how they discovered the faulty machine. I want to say one of the guys was a CSM technician but I could be getting the story confused with another. Does anyone remember this article/post???
