Dealer Changing the Shuffle After Player Winning

Recently at two Native American casinos I was having some very successful outcomes within a very short time (within a shoe). After her break, the dealer came back and incorporated riffles into the two deck shuffle that she had previously left out. Perhaps someone noticed her lack of thoroughness (other dealers were using the riffles) and pointed it out to her? If so, is this OK? I guess the Gaming Commission wouldn't care a bit because shuffles are allowed inconsistent between dealers and also the same dealer can be inconsistent?

Later that night, at another Midwest Native American casino, I was doing even better after entering the game mid-shoe, and the dealer starting using riffles for the 6 deck shuffle thereafter, which I believe he was not previously using as I had scouted out the place a month earlier.

Does anyone out there feel that there are some shuffles that are poorer for the player than others? Do you try to avoid certain manual (non-machine) shuffles?

The shuffle procedure will not impact your game unless you are shuffle tracking. I'm going to guess that you are not shuffle tracking.

More elaborate shuffles will slow the game down, which is a negative, of course.

I'm assuming that you mean the shuffle "procedure" had more riffles after her break, and not that before her break she wasn't riffling.

I think there need to be at least 3 riffles for each packet for a reasonable mix, but I don't have any supporting math.

As long as there are 3 or more riffles, it shouldn't matter how many there are. (Assuming "good riffles", and not "faro riffles" or "weaves".)

If there's a strip, half strip, over/under strip, or more than one pass through a 3 or 4 way break, that could lessen the number of riffles required.

As long as the dealer isn't stacking the deck, and is reasonably trying to provide fairly mixed cards, I don't think the dealer should get in trouble with the law*. If the dealer isn't following the house shuffle procedure, the dealer might get in trouble with the house.

But I believe the woman who made the video says that casinos have their own shuffles that you will be required to learn if you want to deal there.

If you observed different shuffles at the same casino, maybe the dealers started to cut out some steps out of laziness...?
