Hi there,
The game is 6D, ENHC, DD rescue versus 10 (early surrender versus 10 after DD). I came to an interesting conclusion doubling 11 versus 10 is preferable to hitting in ENHC if surrendering after doubling down is available. Yes, if one decides to double these hands instead of hitting them, he will increase the house edge by 0.00034096. On the other hand, if the player surrenders all doubled hands having a total of 16 or less, he will improve his chances versus the dealer by 0.000850203. So, the difference 0.000509243 (0.05%) is in players favor. If I add to this the advantage 0.000284168, gained from surrendering after DD versus 8 and 9, the whole rule DD rescue versus 10 will contribute 0.079% to players dreams. Not bad if it is true. According to wizardofodds.com, the effect of such a rule (DD rescue) is 0.1%, but it is calculated for 8 decks and dealer taking a hole card. So, what are pros thinking? Am I right or not? Everybody is welcome to prove me wrong.
