if the odds of receiving high cards (when the deck is full of high card high count) changes if there are more people at the table?
No. What ever the count is, the cards you receive will be respective of that count at that moment, regardless of whether you are by yourself or if there are many players. However, if you are sitting on 3rd base, the TC has just as much chance of going higher as it does of going lower before you actually get your cards. On average though, the TC will be the same when you get your cards as it was when you placed the original bet in the circle. The problem is; you are getting less hands during the high count. You will also get less hands during low counts which is a good thing. The other players are just eating a lot of cards.
Less players at the table is best unless you are a "user". I like to use one other player to eat bad cards while I'm sandbaging or wonged out during neg areas of any given shoe.
Here is a suggestion to help block out as least one player: Sit just left of the center of the table, right between two circles. Where you possition your chair, can help you to keep two circles blocked from other players trying to use either of them.
