Stragegy for Craps Tournament would be appreciated - Books, articles, websites, comments, etc.

It has a section of Craps as well.

Basically, bet against the table. If everyone is betting Pass, then bet Don't. If everyone is betting Big, bet little. If towards the end of a round, you are way ahead, bet as little as possible to keep your lead...if way behind, go for the Hardways.

Wong states something to the effect of: Finish first or finish broke......presuming only 1st place advances.

It's very important to sit back and bet minimum till the home stretch. Most likely you will lose and you want other people to bust out before you, much like BJ tournaments, so wait till close to the end you know what your up against. Then bet everything if you need to on place bets and parlay every throw until you are in the lead. I'm sure Wong has great ideas here, but Crap is a negative expectancy game just like any other, so everyone has their own opinion here.

Depends upon who the shooter happens to be. When I bet on my rolls, I win consistently. When I bet on others' rolls, I generally show a loss. Mason Malmuth in his "Gambling Theory and Other Topics", concedes that a player(shooter) could possibly gain a mathe-matical/statistical edge over the house by being able to influence the randomness of the dice themselves. That's the opinion of a respected gambling author; it also happens to be my opinion.

There are theories and even classes presented on dice control. The only dice control tactic is avoiding a 7. The class claims to bring your odds of a 7 down from 6:1 to 5:1. Thats it. As for winning on your OWN rolls. Why even play again unless you can roll. Sorry, but that is superstition.

A 5:1 ratio of sevens to non-sevens would result in massive losses for the player. The class claims to change it in the other direction.

This is gonna be rain in your parade, but my financial records don't support your theory. And it sounds like sarcasm & conjecture are your strongest suits.

The player wants more throws to sevens, not fewer. Random is 6:1, the classes claim to improve it to 7:1.

8:1 is better for the player than 7:1; 7:1 is better than the expected random 6:1, etc.

It is impossible to control the dice to hit more sevens. It is possible (according to dice control theory) to avoid one of the sevens by the way you set the dice to throw and you must not hit the back wall. Since your expectancy is about 49% with the odds bet, just a slight reduction in the number of sevens throws your expectancy positive. There is a seminar about it, (Author Fred Renzey commented about it in his weekly "Daily Herald" submission)although, I doubt casinos have much to worry about in this case since everyone gets a shot at the dice. What are they gonna do, start backing people off of craps?!
