re: CSMs
On the Strip, I frequently see the Shufflemaster CSM being used. It is a 5 deck CSM. Generally, the dealers re-insert the cards after each round. Every once in awhile, they will put the cards in the tray. Never seen any rhyme or reason for why they do this, maybe just a holdover habit from non-CSM games. I imagine that how loosely they follow the rules of putting the cards back into the machine may be dependent on the strictness of the house procedures. It is a waste of time to play a CSM. In fact, many average players are very uneasy about the machines since they can't see how the cards are handled. Someone ought to start an urban legend email stating that these machines cheat and create an outrageous yet believable story so that the public gets even more distrusting of these machines. That way, the casinos may pull them due to the increasing unpopularity. Some casinos already have.
