Casinos in Germany?

Does anybody know if there are casino's in Germany if so any idea how I can find out where they are and what rules they offer in bj?
Im going there for couple weeks and would like to know how much $ I should bring if they do indeed have casinos thanks for any info.

There are indeed casinos ("Spielsbanks" I think they are called) in Germany. The ones I saw are very small - only a table or two of BJ. Last time I was there (last spring) they played standard European rules - 6 decks, ENHO, DAS, etc. I can't remember if it was s17 or h17, but I remember it was pretty much the same rules as I have seen elsewhere on the continent.

All of the casinos I saw (saw a few, but only went into 1, and not for very long since that wasn't the sightseeing I was in Europe for) required you to show your passport to enter. That's also very standard in Europe. Not a very comfortable feeling, but I didn't feel any heat about counting (could be because I didn't stay for long, though.) There is also a casino in Frankfurt airport.

Good luck. My advice is that there is a lot to see, so don't spend too much time inside a casino!

And yes Ill try not to spend to much time in the casino because I hear there are alot of great sites to see.

Of course it depends where you are going to be in Germany. Belgian conditions are or were much better than German. That was 2/3 years ago. ES was especially lucrative for me.

There is a csino in Wiesbaden, about an hour train ride from Frankfurt. Plan on having a coat and tie to save on renting them there. Also there is usually only one BJ table open, with 7-10 players or more. You can bet behind other players. IMHO it's a waste of time, and you're better off doing some sightseeing or checking the beer joints. I liked the casino in Frankfurt airport, 4 decks, reasonable pen. They have no idea what counting is, but they will pressure you to tip almost on every BJ or double you win. Made some nice money there for an hour, wonging in and out without leaving my seat.
Also these casinos have no limits on splits. I saw a Chinese guy split tens at the casino in Hanover. He got another ten: I was so pissed that I told him the logical thing to do is to split since he split before. He must have split 8 or 9 tens, and of course the dealer did not bust: what do you expect when you take all the dealer's bust cards? I lost my lousy $10 bet but I was gratified to see that guy lose all his chips. Ploppies are our best allies and serve to finance us, especially wild ploppies like this guy.
