I am learning to count the right way after years of half way counting.

It occurred to me that I do not know the point where the player and the house have the an equal expectation in the count.

If my IRC is -20 in a 6d strip game and +4 is my pivot where I know I have the advantage, at what count do I have an essentially even game?

I tried to figure this out and I determined that counts from -3 to +3 are pretty much 0.

Is this correct or am I over complicating/simplifying the problem?

Also if this is a stupid question feel free to educate me. profit before pride.

Need to convert your KO to true count

In a typical 6-deck game, the house advantage of approx .5% is overcome at around true count of +1 or a little higher. Therefore, in the KO system, you will need to convert your running count to a true count to determine the point at which you hit TC of +1 (i.e., you need to use the "TKO" method).

So, here's the way it works. In KO, your running count has to go up by 4 for each deck played just to stay at TC of zero. After one deck has been played, TC 0 is at your running count of -16 and TC +1 will be 5 points greater than that because there are 5 decks remaining. So after one deck, TC of +1 is at running count of -11. After 2 decks have been played, TC +1 will be at running count of -8 (-20 +8 + 4).
