I'm certainly no expert here, but the sim programs that I'm aware of do not allow for perfect computer play. In such play, each 6 that was surplus in the shoe would be positive (towards hitting) if you had 15 and obviously change to a negative value if you held 16.
I'm curious which sim programs provide for such perfect play?
BTW, One could set such a sim up themselves with the info from Griffin's old but great classic "Theory of blackjack".
Yeah, its not that difficult to program. Purpose-built sims have been done-see Zender's "Card Counting For The Casino Executive". The extra gain is negligble. The use of a computer to calculate perfect play decisions is simply a dangerous waste of money. There is no recorded case of any one making money with one of these devices.
If I was going to use a computer at the tables I'd concentrate on the shuffle. That is a thousand times more effective. Under ideal conditions using a shuffle-tracking computer is like playing with a cooler.
