Card-Counting School (not online)?

I apologize in advance if this thread has previously been discussed (I am a newcomer to this site and blackjack.)
I have done much research, have my basic strategy down cold, and can quickly count down a deck using the KO count. However, I'm having trouble moving up to counting and playing at the same time, whether it's using an on-line simulator or at the casino. I'd love to go to a brick-and-mortar card-counting school, preferably one that uses the KO count. Are there such things? Are they recommended?

Sounds like you got the basics down pretty good, why do you think you need to go to school, as well? IMHO the money you save by NOT going to a school can be better put to use as your starting bankroll. No matter what they teach you at a school, it can never be a substitute for "real" action at the tables. Since you're gonna have to go through that eventually, why not do it now and get it over with.

Start at a low-stakes game and backcount it. You'll know when you're comfortable enough to jump in and when you do, pick a ripe count and jump in with your max bet!

The is no better school than experience. I had the exact same problem when I started counting. I could count a shoe perfectly and I could play the correct strategy, but I couldn�t do the two things at the same time. The only way to this it to practice. Find I low stakes table and just play flat betting. Keep the count in your head and play accordingly. Flat bet until you can count and play strategy easily and most importantly with out looking like a counter (looking like your concentrating and not talking with fellow players and dealers ). Don�t worry if it takes time. Many beginner counters get discovered because they don�t practice enough before the start.

in a casino & flat bet, I made it through about 3 decks before I lost the count. I kept practicing & now I tend to count everything in my head. Peas on my plate, cars I pass by, people in line and......
