Building knowledge

I currently own the book "Professional Blackjack" and have instructed my wife to purchase Don's book, "Blackjack Attack" as my birthday gift. My goal is to hone my skills at counting. Are there any other books you would recommend that I can read to gain further knowledge? I am looking to get as much as an edge as possible and any information would be helpful.

For red-chip counters, our very own Barfarkel's two books (both conveniently available as e-books from bj21's catalog) do an excellent job of introducing the different forms of heat that red-chippers are likely to encounter. Check the catalog for You've Got Heat and its sequel, You've Got Heat, Volume II.

In addition, his books are very entertaining to read, too! Don't forget, as Green Chip members, you get a 10% discount on your order.

*Knock-Out Blackjack / Olaf Vancura and Ken Fuchs

*Burning the Tables in Las Vegas / Ian Andersen

*200 Proof Blackjack / Bootlegger (excellent for beginners)

*You've Got Heat Vol. 1 & 2 / Barfarkel

*The Card Counters Guide To Casino Surveillance / D.V. Cellini

(out of print and hard to find, but required reading, IMO)

And since I'm enjoying spending your money, I'll also recommend that you purchase the following software and casino conditions information, it will prove to be invaluable as you progress in your knowlege of AP play:

*Blackjack Risk Manager 2002 / John Auston

*Casino Verite / Norm Wattenberger

*Current Blackjack News (email or regular mail)
