I was just perusing this site and am considering ordering this system. Has anyone else read or heard of this particular system?
I bought another book, The Gregorian Strategy (sucked), and this sounds alot like it.
He doesn't describe the system, since he wants you to purchase it. He claims you will win 78% of the time using his system. That sounds like a pure voodoo progression system to me. Let me give you an example. If you discounted ties, you would win a four-step Martingale 87% of the time in blackjack. Each time you win, you would win one unit. Each time you lose, you would lose 15 units. If you devised a system wherein you left the table after either losing 4 hands or winning any one of the four progression hands, you could claim an 87% win rate. The problem is, in one hundred tries, you would win 87 units, but you would lose 195 units. Even if you factored in the occasional blackjack at 3:2 and successful doubles and splits, you won't make up the difference. I'm guessing he has some sort of progression that allows him to claim high win percentage rates per "session," but still winds up a loser in the long run.
From the website: I had only moderate success at blackjack until I used George's betting progressions which helped increase profits tremendously! The 2-1-2 system is great, especially when playing in "neutral" games where neither the player or dealer is especially hot. Rarely, does one find 'home run' tables, so this is just the ticket to success, because MOST tables will be of this variety throughout the casino.

I'd like to say thanks for replying. So my next question is, I've got Professional Blackjack, I want Blackjack Attack but Barnes/Borders says they can't order it. I've got the basic strategy down, can count a deck by ones, two & three in under 30 seconds, using Hi-Low. I guess I'm just looking for more information/knowledge. Any suggestions?

This guy, George Papadoupolous (obviously of Greek extraction), has penned two books(whose names escape me)on winning at Blackjack without counting cards based upon his own self-designed progression betting system. It was written to cash in on the ploppy market(the only plausible explanation). So unless you are a ploppy...
I had to look up what ploppy meant. This is what I was (plopi?) but thanks to Stanford Wong and you fine people I hope to win money "over the long run". I'm wondering though with a limited bankroll should I try some tourneys? I was planning on hitting single decks and then craps. Attacking both fast and as hard as my bankroll can stand.
Any casino game is bound to take your money in the long run, unless you use one form of advantage play or another. Card counting in blackjack is the most common of those. You cannot get ahead by simply knowing basic strategy, at least not in the sense of making cold, hard cash. You might be able to break even if you pick the right games and if you play for comps.
Craps is worse than most blackjack, in terms of house advantage. Although one can reduce the house advantage if multiple odds are offered at the craps tables, more often than not, those odds bets don't count for comps, or if they do, they are counted at an extremely reduced rate. In terms of risk versus reward, blackjack is the better way to go for a basic strategy player.
A word of warning about the single deck games now being offered in Las Vegas. Many of them now pay only 6:5 for a blackjack, instead of the standard 3:2 payoff. The fact that they are single deck games doesn't come close to making up for the loss of 60% of the bonus you get for a blackjack. 6:5 makes the game worse than craps. There are even some houses offering 2-deck 6:5 games. You would be much better off looking for decent 6-deckers than playing those awful short pay 6:5 games.
