Blackjack players

I'm back. Haven't had the time for all of you tough, difficult, crititical, discerning players. Just kidding. All you guys are great, including Flash.

So he's a question for all of you experts. Especially Flash.

How many card counters would you estimate are there in the United States of America.
I don't have any idea whether someone may know or have some way of looking it up, or being able to calculate it.

I estimate 2,000 plus.

How about different parts of the country? Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Reno, Biloxi, Tunica, California, the California desert, Connecticut; Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and Montreal.

I estimate 100 to 200 in Las Vegas.

I think your estimate for Las Vegas counters may be a little high. I have not run into any locals counting at strip casinos unless they all say they are from somewhere else. This is possible as I do the same thing. I have run into a lot of locals over and over at the off strip locals casinos. However, if they are counting they are not using Hi-Opt1. At least not on the DD games that I play. Maybe they are all sitting at the show games.

Thanks for answering Johnnyquad. It surprises me that no one cares to make an estimate. I'm basing my estimate on the number of casinos in Las Vegas as compared to the casinos that I frequent regularly. At those that I usually attend I have picked out X number of counters, because they stand out, if you know what to look for. Based on that sample I have extrapolated to Las Vegas.
In L.V. I have actually spoken to a counter who lives there and have observed a two person team (man and woman) who were back counting the same table that I was in the Bellagio. At the correct, precise time, I beat them to a seat at the table. They went away when I sat down, not wanting to have two counting groups at the same table, since I believe they knew what I was doing.
Since there are more than 100 casinos in Las Vegas it' s not difficult to imagine that there may by as any as 200!

I have been counting for many, many years and have only noticed a handful of card counters. Of course, there may be others who disguised their play so well that I didn't catch them. Or others that saw me and left the table. Of course, conditions in the East, for the most part, aren't so great, so maybe there aren't too many counters in the casinos I frequent. Advantage players by nature like to see cold, hard facts or numbers, so maybe that is why you haven't had many answers to your question.
