Professional Blackjack
Professional Blackjack contains split/don't split decisions based on the count of the cards that have already been played. If you are not counting the cards, those tables won't mean much to you.
You can go to www.blackjackinfo.com and click on the 'strategy engine' link. It will allow you to print out a chart, for the exact rules of the game you are playing, and it will be correct.
A single chart will never be correct, and many do not match, as you have found out. The individual decisions are based on number of decks, dealer hits or stands on soft 17, double after split allowed, etc.
www.blackjackinfo.com will allow you to print a chart that is correct for the exact set of rules you are playing, or change the rules, print another chart, and see how the various rule and deck changes change the strategies.
I really wouldn't worry too much about 1 or 2 plays, they aren't going to add up to much. Get the basics down solid, then worry about the fine points.
