BJ in Amsterdam

Unfortunately, the world situation has forced us to postpone our long planned trip to Turkey. We have decided to go to Amsterdam instead. The good news is that there is a casino in the city; I enjoy playing in new and exotic places.

I would appreciate any advice from people who have played in Amsterdam. This is a sightseeing trip, so I'm not going to spend a lot of time playing so I'm not looking for serious AP information.

It looks like they play pretty standard European rules. I would appreciate any information on unusual rules, whether they cheat (I've had that problem in some places, though usually former Eastern bloc countries), if the casino is in a bad part of town, etc.

is the only casino that has table games in Amsterdam that I know of. There used to be a "semi-legal" casino called Femina, but it had been shut down when I was there last summer. There are several Holland Casinos throughout the Netherlands. Unfortunately, all blackjack games were dealt from CSM's. If that doesn't detour you, the Holland Casino in Amsterdam is right next to the Hard Rock Cafe and about three or four blocks from the Van Gogh Museum. It's probably best to just enjoy your vacation.

One casino in Amsterdam does not deal BJ from CSM. However, it has a special discard tray where you can not see how many cards have roughly been dealt out and how many left. I think a system without the need of true conversion, ie KO, works better. BTW, I also heard most casinos there ususally are lot smaller and do not take actions that well as in the states.

Stay away from dealers on the streets,stick to the pubs and whatever you do,don't bring anything over any border,especially Deutchland.The fries are good.Willi.
