BJ at Binions in Vegas

Hello Everyone!
I understand Binions has a decent single deck game. I have a couple questions: Are these tables usually packed? How easy is it to get backed off? If using a 1-2-3-4 unit spread, is there a good chance of being backed off? Thanks for the info.

Yes,the 3/2 single deck games are usually crowded. Best off times are between 4-10 a.m.

No, a 1-4 spread will not by itself get you backed off. Also, the dealers are very good at tip hustling.

I haven't been downtown in a long time. Is there still rampant pref shuffling at Binion's?

I personally have never been pref shuffled there, but as you know my max bet is quite low, so there may be others more knowledgeable about that than I. I believe $100 is the trigger for a "checks play" call. Frenchman is right on the money about the toke hustling though. It is as blatant and as widespread as anywhere. I've even called a couple of dealers out on it there (which is NOT something I make a habit of doing... normally I just smile and ignore it.)

...is the norm in Las Vegas, not only in casinos. Wouldn't you say that a "Tip Jar" at a fast food restaurant or sandwich shop is a form of tip hustling, just for taking your order? Although annoying, where I a dealer, I would do the same, especially in a tourist town full of drunken as*holes.

Low meaning mid red with a 1 to 4-5 spread and no min to max jumps. Decent game at recreational level, but I doubt they will allow anyone to raise a family at their expense.

Played several hit-and-run sessions at Binions last week, bet sizes ranged from 5/10-200 and 25-225, session lenghts were all 30 minutes or less, dealers called checks play, but I never experienced a PS.
