Best Place to Play
In as much as you are going with a group of women, I would think your group would have more fun/feel safer/more social opportunities at one of the major casino/resorts. You would probably want to play blackjack at a table together, so a shoe game would probably offer more fun to the group (you can all chat up the cards and offer advice to one another, and celebrate/complain about luck).
According to CBJN & my own visits, probably the MGM Grand/NYNY/Monte Carlo complex would be best for blackjack for you group. The MGM has a good 6 deck game with fair rules, S17 (stand on soft 17), DAS & Late Surrender, thus the house edge is only .26 with basic strategy only, and penetration is adequate, to about 1.5 decks. The minimums are not bad, $10 on most evenings although may be higher on Saturday night. NYNY is almost the same, although slightly worse for Blackjack as they hit a soft 17. Monte Carlo has higher minimums I believe...The social scene is good there, as it a a mega resort and you gals may be able to go shopping, dining & clubbing there or at nearby Casinos on the South Strip---Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Bellagio are nearby. The MGM is a stop on the monorail, so you can stay anywhere and commute there, or just park in the major structure behind the hotel.
The San Remo, which is one long block east of the strip on Koval, and a little north of the MGM Complex, has a good low stakes 6 deck game, with dealer standing on soft 17 and double after split. The house edge is about .4% against a basic strategy player, but the minimums are lower, $2 on off peak hours and probably only $5 on Friday/Saturday nights, and penetration is about 1.5 decks. So the budget conscious in you group might like that. But this is a small hotel not connected to other properties, and I don't know about the social opportunities--I doubt if you group would like to visit unless they are really serious about playing blackjack.
If you try those places, please report back on the blackjack and the rest of your experience.
